Woodbury Progress in County Parker Trophy Knockout

Thursday 23rd June saw Woodbury's elite Men's team play against Exeter G&CC in the County Scratch Foursomes Parker Trophy.

With the back pair of John Anderson and David Baldwin securing an early point, winning 4&3, for Woodbury it left the Pairings of Club Captain Pete Lawrence and Jacob Tinsley and Tom Jessamine and Ben Sandry to battle it out for the win.

Lawrence and Tinsley lost the last hole to a birdie 3 to lose one down so that then left Jessamine and Sandry to secure a win for Woodbury.

All square after 18 holes they went on to play sudden death extra holes eventually coming out on top on the 4th extra hole meaning a 2-1 victory and progression to the next round.
